If You Listen to: Kanye West & Drake You Might Like: Childish Gambino
While he started to gain his momentum a little late in 2011, Donald Glover, better known as Childish Gambino in the Hiphop Community, is poised to set this year on fire. His Official Debut Gem, CAMP, was released the same day as Drake Sophomore Joint TAKE CARE, and while he didn’t nearly crest the number that the singer/rapper made, he certainly turned quite a few heads.

If Kendrick Lamar is Hiphop’s Equivilent to Martin Luther King, Young West Tantrum is Malcom X’s Militant Musical Counterpart. 2011 Saw the rising hiphop artist come into his own, releasing Three Mixtapes, featuring a who’s who of west coast artists, ending with the powerful project, ATTACK THE BLOCK. With a Project set to Release in the early Part of 2012, be ready to see more of this MC with a message.

If lovesick rock/rap is more your thing, AE might just be what you’re looking more. 2011 found him coming out of nowhere, suddenly invading west coast blogs with the infectious Internet favorite track, BRITTNAY’S SONG.
