Denim Rules

Style is eternal. Fashion fades. History is repetitive. Whereas, DENIM IS FOREVER! Denim is making it's comeback Fall 2011 like never before. Different color washes are showing up on runways all over. A countless number of designers are catering to the new denim era, by modifying and updating a new array of proportions for fit. Denim has become the key staple for all body types. The different styles of this fabric has made this trend versatile, unconventional and timeless. A classic.

The best thing about the fabric are it's washes. Denim comes in colored, distressed, light, medium and dark washes. It's very fun to alter denim but be careful of mishaps of styling. For example, when pairing colored denim you want to be really careful to tone down, yet compliment when styling: there could be crayon box terror. Color-Blocking is a very good way to style with colored denim. The art of this method is--Strategically pairing contrasting, yet complimentary, colors together; making the hottest outfit LIVE! I.E pink with red, blue with green, orange with purple; the odd couple trended colors but a complimented relationship. Be sure to accent the colored denim ensembles with monotone jewelry of golds and browns, to keep your look flattering. So HAUTE!

The trick of wearing denim is to do it is effortlessly, but with a little conscious. Maintain your own look with the fabric whether it's dressing it down or up. When this trend is correctly worn it can make an errand look run into a runway-ready look. It's all in the placement of the denim; arranging it as a top blouse/shirt or a bottom pant, short or skirt. MAGIC! EASY!

Body-types and denim works beautifully together. For every body-type there is a proportioned fit! For the Petite body type there is the Skinny Jean, for the Plus body-type there is the flattering look of the Boot-Cut Jean and for the Boy-shaped body-type is the Tapered-leg Jean. Denim has made it's home in our society dedicating to all walks of life. The evolution of denim is back stapling itself as an everlasting trend. Point proven. DENIM IS FOREVER!
